What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, which cause illnesses going from a simple cold (some seasonal viruses are Coronaviruses) to more severe pathologies such as MERS-COV or SARS. The virus identified in January 2020 in China is a new Coronavirus. The disease caused by this Coronavirus has been named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization – WHO. Since March 11, 2020, WHO has described the global situation of
COVID-19 as a pandemic; that is, the epidemic now affects 110 countries over a large area.
What are the symptoms of COVID-19 ?
The main symptoms are fever or feeling of fever and signs of breathing difficulties, such as coughing or shortness of breath.
Is there a vaccine?
There is no vaccine for the COVID-19 Coronavirus at this time. Several treatments are being evaluated in France, in conjunction with the WHO, to be used against the COVID-19 Coronavirus. In the meantime, treatment is symptomatic.
How is COVID-19 Coronavirus transmitted?
The disease is transmitted by postillions (sneezing, coughing). It is therefore considered that close contact with a sick person is necessary to transmit the disease: same place of life, direct contact within a meter during a cough, sneeze or a discussion in the absence of protective measures. One of the preferred vectors for the transmission of the virus is contact with unwashed hands.

What are the instructions for health establishments?
The COVID-19 methodological guide for the Epidemic risk of the Ministry of Health for health establishments in France recommends clear measures on air hygiene:
- Rooms allowing isolation of patients (single room, with correct air renewal without recycling within the establishment)
- The day hospital sector must have at least one room with suitable air treatment, negative pressure is not compulsory.

How can ATA help ?
The new coronavirus (COVID-19) is part of the Coronaviridae family, made up of a lipid membrane of cellular origin. We tested our F7 + H14 filtration chain and photocatalysis decontamination technologies, and Bioxygen® module on the H1N1 Influenza virus, from the lipid membrane category, like that of coronaviridae, we obtained 99.9929{01e3c5e93231d16e008ef94f2b1d6fd0127ff363a7cc717001d1444d838f865e} retention (Virnext test report result: ATA20140305E5 Lyon, 03/05/14)
VirNext is a technological service and innovation platform whose objectives are to meet the scientific and technological needs of industrialists in Virology / Microbiology. VirNext specializes in the evaluation of physical, chemical and biological technologies for decontaminating indoor air and surfaces, as well as technologies for cleaning up / disinfecting water and effluents.
VirNext has set up experimental procedures to assess the effectiveness of the Room Dopair / Dopair filtration system in decontaminating a confined space contaminated with viruses of the same category of coronaviridae.
Conclusion after study: The « Room Dopair / Dopair » system developed by the company ATA-Medical makes it possible to decontaminate a confined space of 2.5 m3 in 5 minutes associated with efficiencies of 99.9929{01e3c5e93231d16e008ef94f2b1d6fd0127ff363a7cc717001d1444d838f865e} and 99.905{01e3c5e93231d16e008ef94f2b1d6fd0127ff363a7cc717001d1444d838f865e} respectively for the categories of viruses with lipid membranes such as coronaviridae, and without membranes such as Adenovirus type 5, respectively. The « Room Dopair / Dopair » system therefore makes it possible to decontaminate the air in a confined space containing viruses such as COVID-19.
